Reasons not to go by Bus

Mothers journey to Town this morning.

Hobble down to local bus stop. Bus comes but is full and goes past. Waits with two other men for another twenty minutes.

Men get fed up and walk down to the main road as theres more choice.

Mother gets fed up waiting and walks down to the main road.

Men still waiting there as well.

Waits for another 25 minutes and a bus finally turns up.

Total time wasted waiting for a total of 8 buses 45 minutes plus.

Go by bus to work with that sort of performance P45 would be coming your way very soon. Solution use the car. Ah congestion charges will be coming. Somethings wrong somewhere isn't there.

Nice country Germany went across a couple of times when my sister lived there. I stopped when my fear of flying got too great. Since then she's moved back to the UK.
You're right though Public transport there makes ours look stoneage. It's run to make life easy for the passenger.

Technically I suppose we have bus service.
Though she got better service there than she would have gotten here with no screw ups.
Of course, here she would have known to start walking to the major road to begin with, as there aren't any bus stops on the minor roads.

Yes but not when you're a pensioner with dodgy knees. I've spent 25 minutes in the past on the main road waiting for bus (they all turned up at once) and since then the services have been cut.

What's wrong with that?
I just looked up our nearest route.
25 minutes is right on schedule.

And we live 3 miles from the center of the city.

Well perhaps when you're 75 have pain killers for the knees you'll understand why she's a bit annoyed at the lack of Bus service.

The things the annoy me is.

a) They tell you not too use your car.

b) They keep going on about taxing you for driving to work.

c) They're not providing an alternative yet we used to have one the best public transport systems in the country and almost no cars on the roads as you didn't need them.
