OMG KvH, get off your high horse. You're talking apples and oranges. Language was meant to be changed over time. By your logic, you'd rightfully be considered a heathen by someone from Shakespearean time because of your use of language.

Put simply, language is a tool, a tool to facilitate communication. Man is known as the tool bearing animal because of our ability to fashion a tool to suit our needs in any given situation. It's right and appropriate to adjust our use of languange over time.

Maybe we should have stopped developing language once the caveman innovated the grunt and chirp? Would that make you happy? Somewhere, there's a caveman rolling in his grave because we don't use the polite form of chirp that he instituted.

Sure, not all change is for the best, and not all change will be adopted into the common vernacular. But to smugly compare tweaking a language to raping a human being... as if that would be your trump card in a future debate... you've lost all sense of relativity!
    P.S. You've been Spanked!

I cannot understand what cjolley is trying to say. What ever will I do? I fear that my brain will explode! It's the end of civilization! The sky is falling... The sky is falling!
