    I enjoyed it, but, and I'm sure others will disagree, making a darker film lost one thing in translation:

    It didn't have a fun bad guy; Liam Neeson was cool, but the Scarecrow was goofy and annoying. In my eyes, if he had been made in the image of, say, Arnold's Mr. Freeze or Jim Carrey's Riddler then all would have been well.

      Scarecrow was goofy and annoying because that's how crazy people often are in the real world. I've seen at least 50 of 'em with very similar personalities to his. Granted none were that homocidal, but a few were pretty darned close.

      The main problem with the last few Batman movies came down to them beeing too light, as in the head. Welcome to how Joel Schumacher nearly killed the franchise. No, I did NOT like how Freeze, Riddler, Two Face or Poison Ivy were handled. Not at all.
