I'm fond of Russian names. We're actually considering Alexander. Then I explained to my wife that we'd shorten it to "Sasha", and she looked at me like I had EIGHT HEADS.

What about "Lord" or "Duke"? Or perhaps "Viscount". Earl is a bit too common...

          @rylan:

Ryan Goldovitz sounds better IMO. Too many "L"sounds otherwise

But wouldn't Lech be better in that case?

In America "lech" is what you find out your child is later in life.
                  Much to your disapointment.

                    Well Hello!
                    First things first... congratulations!
On this side of the world, we are still working our way... darn, wish I was 16, I bet it would work like a charm!
About names, I have been rummaging for some myself... though strangely enough, I can't imagine having a boy... some part of me finds it unatural and I'm absolutly convinced it has be girl... but anyhow, these are the only ones I can think of:

                    Alan
                    Daniel
                    Fabian
                    Jacob
                    Anton

                    Cheers to both of you!

                    Ps: Hi Zokes!!!

By way of apologies, here goes:

I'm sorry for needling you in this thread, Jason.. it really wasn't the place. I really meant no offense to your child to be or any other family members.. I just thought since you wanted a LOTR middle name and "Mac" is the Scottish for "son of," it would be an amusing jab at you.. and only you. But it wasn't, and I was unable to correct this til now.

So best wishes for your son.. hope he is healthy and happy whatever you decide to name him.
