Finally decided to get off me ass and post again...here are some pics from my Moscow trip. In all honesty, that place is like Opposite-Land...if there's any conceivable way of doing something differently, they've thought of it. Here are the highlights:
#1: The building on the right is the former KGB (current FSB) headquarters in infamous Lubyanka Street...the one on the left is Detskyy Mir, a children's mall I guess they decided to help the parents - I can see it now: "Mommmmyy, I want the new SPECNAZ action figure!!" "Shut up, or I'll send you next door instead"
#2: A great boat trip down the Moscow river leads past the amusement park on the left - the space shuttle looking thingy in it is...an actual Soviet space shuttle, the Buran. They managed to fly it unmanned past orbit, and back safely...the factory that assembled it currently makes diapers
#3: Who sez Soviet architecture is boring? You're looking at the Faculty of Science & Technology, Moscow University.
#4: That is one ski-jump slope I wouldn't ever want to set a new record in
#5: Some local color
