I am in a hospital in Birmingham awaiting a repair of my inscisional hernia. I have just found out that my op will probably be cancelled which means stting on my bum waiting for a few days. On the upside my bed has an internet browser attached! woohoo. It seems very basic and it is a bitch to type on, but can anyone give me some good links?

Good luck the the Op Paddy, I hope you get it sorted soon!

If you are in a private room, I have lots of links for you

Serioulsy though, www.big-boys.com is fun, as long as you are a little careful and heed their warning you should be fine even on a ward.

You may not be... familiar with the common types of hernias that you could get!

So just settle back, and let me clue you in... there's:

                Incomplete (incomplete!)
                Epigastric (epigastric!)
                Bladder (bladder!)
                Strangulated (strangulated!)

                Lumbar Hernia
                Richter's Hernia

                Obstructed, Inguinal... and DIRECT! OW!

                ---------------------------

Props to Weird Al. I'm guessing yours is Inguinal? That means that it's poking through your groin wall.

I'm the least you could do, oh yeah
If only life were as easy as you
                I would still get screwed
