Concerning the bag, no it wasn't mine. But my mum loves it, as most people in HK don't like it. The actual name of the bag eludes me for the moment, but it's one of those nylon/plastic striped carriers you usually see mainlanders carry. That's the prejeduce towards a bag I mentioned. Everyone that saw mum thought she was a mainlander and effectively looked down on her, or started to use Mandarin to speak to her.
Of course, mum took advantage of this, as another thing about HK'ers are the fact they can be rather rude and unconcerned about others around them. Twice, I've nearly been poked in the eye, or beheaded by a HK'ers umbrella (They use them to create a shade). They LOWER the umbrella instead of raising them when it's crowded, and they're already max out at around 5 feet 2, so someone like me is actually in quite a bit of danger. Anyway, so Mum decided to carry a rather large umbrella and warn people off from getting near her, as she can't walk very well she uses it for support (as a walking stick) too. But when people got near her, she would swing the umbrella slightly in front of that persons direction, making them back away. Of course, being a "mainlander" meant the usual HK'ers would avoid confronting Mum about her behaviour.
Skyline good? Mostly what I saw was rather flat. Eh, no wait. Sorry, I thought you meant another Skyline there . No, I didn't go out much during the later hours, except to walk down Temple Street twice. Didn't really get to see the "city" Skyline. And for those that don't know, Temple Street is famous for being a street full of Fortune Tellers during the night. (Sooo tempted to kick everyone's asses there, but held off )
No, this trip wasn't really a pleasure trip. Didn't actually go out and play. And I most certainly didn't have a chance to go anywhere else, as the teacher I wanted to get training/learn from was in Hong Kong. Finally, I couldn't wait to go later due to certain other reasons. I didn't manage to get the training I was looking for, but it was great being told I won't get it anyway. (Hint: My Sig effectively tells you why I chose to go now, and why I don't mind not getting the training )
Yeah, the pollution and humidity is horrid in Hong Kong. I've got some pictures I'll upload later, largely scenes of Hong Kong. Sorry, no schoolgirl pics, as they had gone on holiday during that time, and it's bloody difficult telling which was legal and which wasn't. So I didn't even try to take any pictures of them.
Finally, one more bad thing about Summer HK: Rainstorms. Darn they're frightening. Only managed to get some shots during that time.
