Reports are that up to 15% of the NOPD abandoned their posts, with some actually joining the looters. Two police officials committed suicide (family deaths provoked at least 1 of 'em) and their Police Commissioner resigned today.

And they wonder why people, including the American Red Cross, are saying that the Louisiana and N0 response was dysfunctional.

Apparently the Red Cross and FEMA had their supplies ready to truck in but the local and state officials said no because they were concered it would tend to keep people at the Supersome and Convention Center instead of them moving on.

Question: move on to WHERE??

IMO the state and local govt's down there are in need of an enema.
