Wooohooo! Just got a package of Red Savina seeds !

Thought I'd see just how hot these guys really are
If anyone has had luck growing these in a cooler climate I'd like to hear your procedure.
I'm guessing they would have to spend most if their lives indoors, as even in the summer here it will dip below 70F.

And yeah, If you're growing them north of the 49th and starting them NOW, they'll definitely be indoor plants. You'll probably need to throw some extra light on them, unless you have a particularly bright window.

Didn't know there was a 'red' variety of the sativa plant

Actually I'm at roughly 43deg north, but definetly starting them inside.
The suggested temp during germination is 85-90F, so even inside I'll need to apply heat!

Tip: once the peppers close to ripe reduce the watering schedule.

That'll concentrate the heat a bit more, as if red savinas need it
