I've always been impessed by Quicktime; Whenever I use it I always think something along the lines of "Wow, compared to putting up with this abomination of a media player, watching a video on my HP48GX calculator seem more more pleasurable."
And that's not counting the last time I tried to look at a trailer with a resolution greater than 0x(0,-1) and got the "You need to install iTunes to watch this trailer" page. The things I typically say during those situations wouldn't make much sense here after the langauge filter turned everything into asterisks.
I'm sure that a lot of those trailers are using QT's new H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10) codec. It and VC1 (Windows Media for HD) are just too darned cool and are likely to supplant MPEG-2 a lot faster than most people realize.
