And I got one on the top floor so I won't hear any noise from above.

sounds less painful there then here.
Just moved, ap is in the companies name, as its easier.
all appartments need a guarentor - either family, your employer, or specific companies that do it.
Oh and lets not even discuss the extra I have to go through being a non native.

Just waiting to get the approval and to sign the contract.

          Some oddities:
          • My mother is looking at a two bedroom townhouse under the same management company.
          • She might be moving the same weekend.
          • My cousin's house might be sold.
          • She might be moving the same weekend.
          • Three sets of people moving the same weekend!!!

Wow, I would hate to be the one family member with a pickup.

Well maybe just two now. My mother is moving after Christmas.

              I am officially approved.
I need to go in and sign the lease later today.

Make that the beginning of next week. They are a bit swamped at the moment due to the holiday and since I am moving in on the 16th, I have plenty of time.

I hope your moving process goes as planned and is as eventful as moving can be. Beer and pizza is the standard after-moving meal and drink.

Beer tastes too metallic for my liking.

It will probably be dinner at the nearby China Moon. Most of the people do not like or are not allowed to have pizza for health reasons. The China Moon is somewhat formal in nature and has great food for excellent prices. Everyone involved loves that place.

Now for the apartment warming party, some firewater variants will be purchased.

To each his own. I've helped out so many times and moved so manhy times myself that pizza and beer has become practically a standard amongst us french canadians.

                          Arrrggghhh!
I called up today to schedule the appointment and the lady indicated that she was very busy and could I try again!?!? WTF?!

Then she was confirming my move in date of December 6th. Umm, no. It is December 16th. Grrr. Stressing. I need to get enough sleep tonight.

As one person put it I now owe some people some money for a period of time!

                            I signed the lease.
