  • Dungeon Siege ... the movie.

How they pulled of a cast with this many A- and B-list actors I don't know. Especially after the last video game movie these guys tried to pull off. House of the Dead ... Alone in the Dark ... Bloodrayne ... anyone see them? Anyone remember they were even released?

Anyway, there is a trailer with raw production footage and no voice over guy. Somhow Burt Reynolds doesn't strike me as a noble king.

    Directed by: Dr. Uwe Boll

Action choreography by: Tony Ching ("Hero", "House of Flying Daggers")

Starring: Jason Statham, Leelee Sobieski, Burt Reynolds, Ray Liotta, Ron Perlman, Claire Forlani, John Rhys-Davies, Matthew Lillard, Kristanna Loken and Will Sanderson

Here's to hoping the fourth time is a charm. At least he hired a good action lead and action choreographer. Hopefully he hired a good screen writer and editor, too. I'm not holding my breath.

uwe boll has alot of other game movies comming up too..

Known for: Postal, Alone in the Dark, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

    # Fear Effect (2008) (announced)
    # Postal (2007) (announced)
    # Far Cry (2006) (announced)
    # Hunter: The Reckoning (2007) (pre-production)
    # In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2006) (post-production)

funny thing is that he has gotten really bad reviews for each movie has had made, yet he is allowed to continue making sub par movies

to answer the question of why... evidentally german tax laws give investors the ability to turn investments in failed films into a tax write off.

wikipedia has a pretty good write up of him here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uwe_Boll

Google also has a cached version of an interview on Bloodrayne... it's sadly very enlightening... http://www.google.com/search?q=cache...ient=firefox-a

There was an article about this on Gamespot, I think. They said that the other factor is that even though the movies suck they always make their money back after they sell the international distribution rights.

His movies do suck, and he doesn't seem to care.

Now we just need peter jackson, or someone with a similar budget to make Far Cry or Half life , showing Uwe Boll how it is done

            That interview was hilarious!!!

Unfortunately – BLOODRAYNE is a waste of time and talent and money. I found it to be a degree or two better than ALONE IN THE DARK – but that’s like smelling your shit 3 days in a row and saying on the third day, “Ya know, I think this smells a little better than yesterday’s.” It’s still shit.
