Actually, there's the "extra stout" which is even BEEFIER than regular Guinness, and most definitely comes in bottles. Most of the time I tend to overlook it, simply because it's NOT on my favorites list. *shrug*The Internet - where men are men, women are men, and teenage girls are FBI agents!

No, that's pretty much how it is.Originally posted by Jon P. InghramI've had regular Guinness from the can with the CO2 "widget" and from the tap at the theater where I work and it is great either way. However, the one bottle of Extra Stout I had was, IMHO, inedible. Perhaps it was just a bad bottle. The Internet - where men are men, women are men, and teenage girls are FBI agents!

Guiness Extra Stout for me.. the canned "draught" never works well and comes out flat and nasty every time, it seems. The bottled draught is a little better, but ES is the best imho.
Beck's Dark is one of my favorites, and it seems they started making Augsburger Dark again at the Steven's Point Brewery in Wisconsin. Too bad I can't get it here.
Good local Bock here is Shiner. Most popular dark beer in the area.

I like it, but I like Negra Modelo better.
I wonder about the other's availability here.
Oklahoma Liquor distribution is kind of a racket, so no telling.Chuck

Just went to the annual Holiday Ale Fest this weekend and had a good one from Widmer called Lumpa Coal Stout. Although it is very similar to their Snowplow Milk Stout (they may be the same). The fest had many 8%+ winter beers that were damn good and most brewed locally. I'm a fan of Guinness... unless any of this stuff is around. But not sure if you guys can get a hand on any of these easily.
If you guys are ever in Oregon you should check out Pelican Pub & Brewery along the coast. They've won gold medals in many international competitions over the years. Their seasonal, Stormwatcher's Winterfest, is a 12.5% ABV that sold out at the brewfest before I got there and I came at 2pm!Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra 9, Opteron 170 Denmark 2x2Ghz, 2 GB Corsair XMS, Gigabyte 6600, Gentoo Linux

ROFL @ KvH
Also btw Theakston's and the, er, related Black Sheep is worth a look.
Long time ago I played in a rugby match, with Robin Tetley on as my fullback and Will Theakston as his opposing number... Yorkshire at its best

Mmm... Beck's Dark.
I'm a HUGE fan of Beck's Dark on tap. If it's fresh. Fell in love with it at Disney World - in Epcot Center, in the German pavilion, they get Beck's Dark as fresh as it can be outside of Europe. Mmm...The Internet - where men are men, women are men, and teenage girls are FBI agents!

I often like milk stouts. Careful who you give them to, though. They're not for the lactose-intolerant.Originally posted by cjolleyMilk Stout is one step less sweet than Oatmeal Stout.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. I'm not lactose-intolerant but after a whole weekend of drinking the stuff (tailgating for football game Saturday, pitcher while watching NFL on Sunday) I had quite a bit of gas...Originally posted by WombatI often like milk stouts.
