Here I was hoping for one that also helped eliminate fuel stops and restroom breaks

Yeah right. It's a conspiracy that auto makers haven't implemented it yet, I tell ya! GNEP can tell us how much his company is shelling out to auto makers just to convince them to use up 35% more fuel than necessary!

        Hehe.

Some simple maths: An average mileage of 10,000 p.a. at UK fuel prices, with a 10% increased economy will only take 320 months to payback! Even a 25% increase will take 144 months - more than the typical life of a vehicle .

If you had a comercial vehicle doing many times that mileage it could be worth it with payback in under a year...if it works at all.

There are dozens of fuel consumption improvement scams out there. If these things worked at all, you can bet they would be incorporated by automakers - all the other tricks they pull to improve their models' fuel consumption aren't cheap either, it's a big selling factor, at least in europe, and it's not as if they don't have the R&D to develop something like this themselves. That they use patented technology or whatever, even if it were true, wouldn't mean much. There are thousands of bogus patents in the US alone, and it could well be just a patent to make the metal nice and shiny for all it's worth. They don't exactly give any real information about how the device works. Are there any independent studies? Why not? If it really worked, surely the cost of such a study would amortize very quickly. Where is the media coverage? If it worked, auto magazines would be all over it.

It's just a scam, like perpetuum mobiles or nuclear power filters, magnet beds and audio cables

They say they use water, and pull about 32 amps. Sounds like they electrolysing the water into hydrogen and oxygen and then feeding that into the engine.

Which should aid combustin, but then you you should be using extra fuel to generate the power it uses in the first place

Lots of these schemes around, none of them really work all that well.

Add to that the fact that on modern cars... monkeying with the fuel/air ratio going into the injectors... BAAAAD!

                I would still get screwed

True, but ALL modern engine management systems are adaptive, but 32 amps - my gawd! Did they factor in the cost of replacement alternators in their cost benefits.
A standard car alternator will only deliver 50-60 amps at full load.
