Anything is possible.
There was a human interest story on the news last year about a 30+ year old autistic (? Aspergers or SPD) man who has managed to earn his law degree and pass the bar exam. They had an interview with him and while you could tell it took him some effort he came across as very intelligent and lucid.
Never can tell....

Have a "cousin" by marriage named John. He has cerebral palsy, but that hasn't stopped him one little bit. First of all his mother wouldn't let him give up when he was a stumbling/bumbling kid who could hardly speak. He worked his arse off and graduated high school.
In the intervening 20 years he's worked his way up from new-hire grunt to become the dept. head of a large hospitals laundry, participates in re-training/adopting of retired racing greyhounds and lives on his own very nicely. Owns/takes care of his own home etc. Great guy and you couldn't ask for a better friend or companion, esp. during a football game
