It's interesting to note that while in several other countries Walmart has simply bought out or invested in pre-existing stores (and retained the local name), in China they aren't (at least not to the same degree or manner).
Growth in the international properties is also expanding at a far greater pace than in the US; however, that's largely to be expected given we has some towns (notice I'm not even referring to larger cities) that have multiple Walmart locations. Take a look at Stillwater, Oklahoma on the map - they're planning on building a second, larger, store across town from the other.
