  • Why Heinz didn't publish this when they entered PL market?

(technical explanation how to pour ketchup from thin-necked bottles)

Heinz was introduced here couple of years ago only in those bottles. They quickly withdraw them and started selling in typical here plastic bottles.

Too bad...I liked the glass ones. The struggle was kinda funny, and rewarding

Actually, they are wrong. The easiest way is to shake the bottle hard with the cap on. The stuff then pours out easily, because it is a thixotrope (if you don't know what that means, look it up). Summed up by:

When you shake and shake the bottle,
      First a little, then a lot'll!
(Attributed to Ogden Nash, but uncertain origin)

Like the squeezy bottles, but I still shake first.

The squeezy bottles are practical, but ugly. It's almost like drinking beer out of plastic twist-cap bottles.

I thought the best way was to stick a knife in and push it out.

Wonder if those Swedish Teenagers need to read this page..
