I loose GB's every month due to this type of thing, complete pain in the arse but I don't want to implement anything that would hamper the artists on my site, I allow them to remote link.

When I get close to 2000GB of transfer a month I may start knocking on doors and beating people

Well at least I ask and it doesn't take long to write an email. Still hot linking is a no no.

Worst case I ever had was about a year ago, a guy linked to one of the anims on my site, he used approx 25GB bandwidth in 3 days, after a polite email he was kind enough to credit my site, I only use 3-5GB a day so 11GB was a big jump, I nearly sh*t myself.

Reminds me of a certain pic association game I created some time ago.

Why didn't he just do a normal link to it.

you could always tweak the dir structure so the items dont show or worse post something questionable and link your site behind it

Didn't realise you were a weather freak. Have just started doing similar with a cheapo system which still isn't 100% perfect, but we're heading in the right direction.

There is a slight difference between our current conditions (http://www.cypenv.org/weather/) and your's, although we are at diametrically opposite ends of a continent! Things are beginning to warm up here with nearly 33°C at 10 am (in reality 0843 sun transit time)! Looks like today is about to be the hottest day this year, so far.

I had a little chuckle to myself when I saw the conditions at your site were metric, except for wind speed (mph) and barometer (in Hg) - nothing like being inconsistent

Brian E The barometer is in inches and the Wind Speed is MPH. All Imperial nothing metric there. Rainfall is mm as thats the way the Met office want it and I don't want to converting back and forth. Otherwise that would be imperial as well.

                    Reactionary, using US units!

As bad as the US METAR service:

                    Sky conditions: mostly clear

This shows that some of the measurements (red) are in metric and converted to US while some are in US (green) and not converted to metric! Crazy!
