I have friends who have both a dog and a cat. The dog is still young, and barks and jumps all over you and slobbers, but the cat is sweet and shy and never makes a sound other than to hiss at the dog as the dog continually bugs her. I would a lot rather hold that cat than the squirmy slobbering dog, but there's no choice in the matter, since the frantic dog would not leave anyone well enough alone to hold the cat. Don't frankly see how people can prefer dogs to cats myself. I like dogs, but the tasmanian devil act is a real put-off.
A landlord may evict a tenant for keeping an animal if it:
* caused undue damage,
* caused a serious allergic reaction in another person or the landlord,
* interfered with the normal enjoyment of the property by another tenant or the landlord, for example, causing undue noise,
* acted aggressively to others – thus affecting their safety, or
* is a species or breed of animal that is inherently dangerous
Otherwise you can have a pet
