After five years of bad relationship and following months of being celibate single, the urge to again feel like in the first pic is rising... (yah I know, TMI).

Sorry about that. FWIW most married men have the urge to be like pic 1

But TBH, your suffering doesn't really make mine feel better

I think life drifts back and forth between between 1 and 2, and I hope to goodness I never experience 3.

Hmm. Do you think a divorce always ends like this for the man? Or, rather, don't you think a divorce can be the better (or "less bad") option, in that within wedlock you'd look like #3, while after divorce you at least have the option of being #1 sometimes or at least something between #1 and #2 again?

Rhethorical question, of course. I think I've been through this, if without certificate, and it was definitely the better choice.

Bah. Realize that after #3, #1 follows naturally, if you're up to the circle all over again

Ouch! And yes, #3 is VERY acurate.

Although it was far preferable. And yes AZ, life is better now.

Got in to a bit of a sticky situation recently for some unwise #1... let's just say that particular bunny-boiler won't get me anywhere near #2...
