What's wrong with the people and the good samaritan. I don't understand why the other people in the group did not gang up on the piece of shit and beaten gim to the ground. Instead they let him continue hitting.

Congrats to the last guy though.

Karma, my eye! The whole thing was staged.

                1. I suppose, just by coincidence, that the cameraman had his cam set up on a tripod as he happened to be passing. And, yes, it was tripod-mounted, and a pro tripod head, at that (see the pan and tilt)

                2. It was just coincidence that the youngster received his come-uppance at the exact place that the cam was pointing, after having emerged from behind a wall; where, in fact, the cam viewpoint, still on a tripod, was much higher than in the first scene.

                3. The first part was taken in three takes with a botched continuity.

4, The guy with the beard is even wearing a name tag: I suggest he is part of the film crew.

Nah! Give me a break! This is probably a few takes from a low-budget semii-pro or amateur film.

I'm with HJ and Brian, and I don't understand why the "Ex Boxer" doesn't rush to help but instead just waits up until the boy is finished kicking people in the face.

I would never let anyone do something like this to my friends without at least trying to interfere. After all, they were more than the guy and if a fvcker like that comes around, an attack from behind is fair game to me, especially if he's stronger than you.

Brian> lets not jump to assumptions here.

If this was staged/acting then it is very good acting. Better than any hollywood fight scene.

                    1. the camera man could have been shooting birds in the park for all we know.

                    2. This isn't a cartoon, it isn't hard to point the camera in the direction where the kid will come out from behind the wall.

                    3. botched continuty means squat as this was obviously edited for TV.

                    4. Name tags means squat. for we know he could have been a store employe or whatever.

Looking at the slomo of the last punch, looks like the kid cracked his head on the pavement when he was knocked out. Didn't look staged to me at all.

az> you know what they say about hindsight. I've noticed that people who are not used to violent behaviour will try to avoid conflict at all costs. they tend to go into a shocked state and watch things unfurl like they where watching TV. or if not that, they ignore the situation because they do not want to get involved.

how many times have people been mugged on the street while passersby just watch? it's very easy to say after the fact that you would have jumped in... and maybe you would, but that isn't true with the rest of everyone.

the 'x-boxer' probably couldn't make up his mind on what to do till the kid started walking away. then again, these are kids fighting in the park, are you not going to worry that you might get sued/arrested for striking a minor if you go wading in?

This reminds me of a fight i witnessed in highschool (way back). it was after school at the area where all the school buses are waiting to pick up the kids. two kids where beating on a scrawny pipsqueeck. very unfair fight but everyone just backed away and watched... untill the very big and black basketball team noticed. suddenly there where 6 angry guys beating on 2. IMHO good turnaround!

I'm not sure if this was staged but I agree with Brian that there's something weird about this. Has anyone dug up an back story? Was the kid charged?
