Was never into the Spider-man comics, but in them didn't it hitch a ride on the one astronaut's (Mary Jane's love interest in the second movie) ship, which somehow crashes and Spidey rescues him from, with the symbiote getting to him that way?

The symbiot originally comes from the planet the Beoynder klobbered togheter to use as a battleground for all the heroes and badguys he kidnapped there.
Spidey wore the symbiot as his new black and white suit when he got back to earth (he didnt suspect it was a symbiot and it jammed his spider sence).If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.
