And I really like the fight scenes in Batman begins just becase they are short and to the point, it adds to the realism that batman takes out his enemies in the quickest most efficient way.

HK kung Fu fight scenes are usually so drawn out that they become boring.
If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

While I will agree the fight scenes weren't something you walked out of the theatre talking about, they were entirely within the realm of Batman's training and the sort of fighting he would be prone to do based solely on his anger; he wants to be in close so he can feel every reflex of pain.

I think we've all been spoiled on these grandiose fight scenes that have choreographed to such an extent that they could never take place in an actual fight.

Wasn't Batman's (Keaton) first takedown of a bad guy in the first movie a one-punch "fight" with the heel of his open palm?
It's been while, but that's the way I remember it.
His fights are only supposed to last if they need the time for him to dialogue with the perp.

Exactly. In a real fight the goal is to have two impacts: your fist on the opponents jaw and his a$$ hitting the floor.

Oi, but this is a movie! Not real life.

Further, all the fighting was the same. The sword fights were bogus. Everything was terrible.

I'm just saying that they could have done better. They didn't have to use a HK Kung Fu style, but they could have made the action exciting and better to watch. Or they could have gone to the other extreme and made it more vicious and dropped all pretense of trying to visually demonstrate it. They could have just focused on facial expressions as bad guys were getting their bones broken and joints snapped.

@Doc, are you really trying to say that the fights were PERFECT and that there's NOTHING that could have been improved upon? Come on!
              P.S. You've been Spanked!

Technically framed and cut correctly in response to a complaint about same.

The content is another matter. I found it acceptable absent a brown belt or higher main audience. Was it a textbool example of KFM? Of course not, but it doesn't have to be. Certainly it was more realistic than 99% of the kung-fu movies, and increased realism was Nolans goal.

That's why you see ninja-star Batarangs, Kevlar/plate body armor, electroactive polymer capes (future tech, but in the labs) and a tank for a Batmobile.

I wanna see a fight scene that is essentially the same as a hockey fight. I think that would be hilarious.

Not sure how to gauge the fight scenes on an entertainment scale, but I definitely think they were very well done.
