Sounds right to me. If it's not broke, don't try and fix it. Of course, where rich, greedy people with power are concerned, anything that doesn't fill their pockets without effort on their part is broken.

There's two sides to this issue and neither really cares about us, the non-commercial users of the Internet. Lots of FUD being spread about, with the majority being laid at the feet of the telcos - they're just easier to hate.
The problem is that the laws/regulations being proposed are largely knee-jerk reactions to each other that quite plainly don't seek to solve any real issues.
