I like the show. Pretty good at duplicating the comic book ideas and putting them in a "right now" setting. The healing girl with her chest ripped open and having to push it back together... pretty cool.

Yeah, it's pretty predictable though. They're playing it up like it's JJ Abrams', but it's just a comic book done up "realistically". Right down to the cheezy narrative voiceovers. Julie and I are enjoying it but suffer no illusions as to what it is or isn't.

Tried to watch it, but couldn't get into it. Predictable and really not all that interesting. Then again, with working nights my days are filled with enough DVR action as it is with the shows I do watch.

Yeah, that's a good way of putting it. Definitely not a great show because the writing is predictable. Easy to get over the voice over after a couple shows -- maybe they should have Jerry Springer do the end narration like his "last thoughts".

I really enjoy Heroes. Yeah, it's a predictable for the most part, but every once in a while they throw in a nice surprise. It did start out slow. It has gotten much better since then. Watching Hiro show up with the katana was pretty fun.

Yeah but that's STRAIGHT out of X-Men. It's an alternate future, you see. One in which they fail to save New York, and the world is all screwed up, but Hiro survives and of course develops his powers... and comes back to try to set it straight?

I saw that EXACT plotline on an episode of "Fairly Odd Parents" Logan watched the other day. It aired in 2004.

              --------------

That said, I am enjoying the show... If for no other reason than to see Niki's alter-ego kick ass and get naked. Plus I have a sort of twisted moral obligation to watch any show with JJ Abrams' best friend in it (the cop who can read minds, who was also on Lost and Alias).

Yeah yeah, that has been done for years and years. And it will be done over and over again for as long as there is scifi. It was just kool seeing the dopie Hiro turn into some badass.

Niki's character is fun. The psycho cheerleader is fun too.

Also done in Dragonball Z where Vegita's kid comes from an alternate world where Goku died which lead to everyone else getting killed.

Hey so, does it looke like what's-his-name, the politician's younger bro, is a power absorbing type person?

Okay ... so is Niki dead? Like dead dead? I figured out the husband had powers, but wow. And you know the son has them. Some nice plot movement today. But the one chic being a spy was too obvious to be shocking though.

I've been watching Heroes and Jericho. I've been enjoying Jericho more than Heroes but Heroes is starting to grow on me. Last week's episode was kind of lame at the end when he flew from out of nowhere and played dumb to Hiro.

I meant to watch Jericho, but I've never gotten around to it. Definitely looks interesting. Is it in its first or second season now? If the later I'll have to add a few eps into my Netflix queue.
