    Berlin (AFP) – The German FA’s (DFB) inquiry into the 2006 World Cup scandal is set to cost around 3.5 million euros ($3.83m), interim

    A high school principal has decreed that Captain Underpants has no place in an institution of learning. Three 17-year-old girls were told to leave Long Beach High School on Wednesday after they showed up on Superhero Day costumed as the subject of the best-selling children's books.

    "I didn't know which superhero it was, not that it mattered," said Principal Nicholas Restivo.

    The girls depicted this superhero _ who has battled, among other things, talking toilets and the infamous Professor Poopypants _ by wearing beige leotards and nude stockings under white briefs and red capes.

    "Yes, I know they weren't naked," Restivo said. "But the appearance was that they were naked."

    "They're not see-through or anything," said one of the girls, Chelsea Horowitz, an honor student and softball player. "All the teachers thought it was cute."

    But Restivo made his decree: There would be no visible underpants in his hallways.

    And thus, Horowitz and fellow seniors Ashley Imhof and Eliana Levin went home to change back into their mortal attire.

    Sorry, I'm on the Principals side on this one.
    He would have been insane to let them parade around like that in his school all day.
    It would have ended badly.

      Why is this being PC? Why is it even newsworthy?

        Think about it;

        Capt. Underpants is a elementary grade character whose books are very often in elementary school libraries. It's in the library at Eriks school.

        The school put on a superhero day, and most superheros dress in some kind of bodysuit, leotard or monotard, often with shorts over them: Superman, Batman, Aquaman, numerous X-men etc. What varies is the color scheme and detailing.

        In other words this kind of outfit, in generic terms, should have been expected. I dare say that the only differences between these girls and others present were;

        1. they were likely showing far less skin than girls dressed as Wonder Woman etc..
        2. the flesh color of the opaque bodysuits.
        3. the undershorts over the bodysuit, doubly covering their nethers.

        IMO the Principal couldn't control his imagination, got a woodie and presumed everyone else was as big a perv as he is.

          3. the shorts over the bodysuit having a fly, which by the way has a bodysuit under its flap.

          IMO the Principal couldn't control his imagination, got a woodie and presumed everyone else was as big a perv as he is. Someone needs to check his computer

          If the girls statement that teachers thought the outfits were "cute" are accurate that makes this analysis even more likely.

            What I'm trying to figure out is why on earth would you have such a day at a high school? Unless of course this sort of thing is normal outside of inner-city high schools.

            Have to agree with both sides though, this shouldn't have been all that shocking, but the chance for distraction amongst peers and teachers alike should have barred any telling or suggestive outfits. That later part should have been made clear in any announcements about the special day, else how were the girls to even know?

            Still, I find it amusing given the outfits our cheer team wore, nevermind some of the clothes the girls wore in general.
