I've shot competative skeet & trap. Tons of fun.
I've done the shotgun part, though the (junked) car wasn't airborn.
I've even fired a .50 cal machine gun (bigger than the .30 cal/7.62mm shown), but not at a car.
That said; shooting car skeet with anti-tank rockets would be a scream.

You could probably just load up a coke bottle filled with gasoline and have at it with a 10ga shotgun loaded with buckshot.

From someone with a Federal Firearms License (FFL) with the Destructive Devices (3 individually licensed types) and Ammunition riders; $150, $3,000 ($9,000 for all 3) and $30 respectively. This allows you to make, deal, import and sell firearms and ammunition.
Importers and manufacturers of machine guns, short-barreled rifles and shotguns and destructive devices must also pay a special "occupational tax" of $500 per year if gross revenues do not exceed $500,000;$1,000 if revenues exceed $500,000.
