I'm going to have to side with Sasq and Brian on this one. The potential for escalated violence is too great if/when the Islamic clerics make him a martyr. It's the same situation if we ever found bin Laden. Do we kill him or make him disappear?

I think the best thing to do would be to put him in either a secret prison, maybe one of those fun CIA prisions, or a war crimes prison in Switzerland (if they'll take him). It would be the safest way to dispose of an evil man while minimizing loss of human life.

The desire to see him tortured like he had done to so many is high, and the very thought of him being alive would continue to emotionally/mentally torture those who suffered under his regime. I'd supply the rope to hang the bastard.

However, as with Jamm, I agree with Brian and Dan. Let him 'accidentally' die from a heart attack or something equally as pathetic in appearance (as in, he couldn't take prison life).

If he is topped, it will be a big mistake. He will become a martyr (with 72 virgins?) amongst the Sunnis who will exact revenge in a big way, especially against the US troops who will be blamed for all that has come to pass. The quality of mercy is not strained. It would be good strategy to commute his sentence to life without parole. In all probability, he will die within a few years, anyway, as I understand his health is precarious.

Yup, I think the best also would be Life, real Life, like the American equivalent of
"At Her Majesty's Pleasure"...
