Rumored villain: Zod or Brainiac w/cameo by Luthor.

Singer says it'll be much more "Wrath of Khan" in tone, meaning to me much more action. The "Wrath of Khan" reference seems to point at Zod as he's the biggest threat with an existing backstory. There's also supposed to be more focus on Jason, Supermans son, possibly as a focus for the baddies. This also seems to point to Zod as he has a father/son revenge thing going on.

Hopefully it will come out darker in tone, which is not something we've seen much of in the Superman films. If the villain is indeed Zod or Braniac, that would definitely make that possible.
