Does an 8 3/4 y/o kid want these days?

An X-BOX 360? Nope.

A PS3 or Wii? Nope.

Not the least bit interested.

He wants, and will probably get, an LCD HDTV with a D-Sub so he can use it as both TV and computer monitor (his is the last CRT in the house). We've found several that have PIP so you can watch TV in a desktop window.

Oh well....I guess he's earned it

Make sure to fill the box with new socks and underwear as padding so if he asks if there are any other gifts, tell him he has to keep the padding.

When I was his age, I got our old 19" B&W TV, because we had finally gotten a 19" COLOR TV (this was 1971).

Well, now this is what I want for Christmas..



for the same reason Erik wants one. You should see how sharp and gorgeous this thing is with a 1920x1080 computer output.

Plus, you can make it swivel back and forth with the remote.. too sweet to eat..
