  • The Art of the Peanut Butter Sandwich

A list of the "best" peanut butter sandwiches:

Despite some apparent non-sensical controversy, my favorite...
Fluffernutters - A gooey, sticky combination of peanut butter and marshmallow that has been a source of controversy this year, but is a firm favorite with anyone who likes marshmallow.

Fluffernutters are good but peanut butter + strawberry preserves + banana is better

Peanut Butter & Brown Sugar & Bananas is a favorite here.

It's pretty hard to mess up with peanut butter recipes.

Never had it with preserves of any kind, but with bananas was a favorite as well.

It is indeed rather hard to mess up a PB concoction of almost any variety. Celery sticks with PB is another treat I still enjoy today.

          Another thing to try:
Toast an open-face PB sandwich in the broiler a bit.
The PB melts into the bread some and the surface gets a toasty crust.
          Yum...

Obviously, I hope, use the broiler, not the toaster

            Erik sez add raisins

They're called "ants on a log" in these parts & probably account for a healthy percentage of celery consumption.

I had a raid on "whatever was left in the fridge" the other day. Came out with PB, cream cheese, ham and sweet chilli sauce sandwiches. Very tasty

Sounds good, but Erik and I would sub in habanero sauce. Margie can barely handle Hunts spicy ketchup

If I had some habenero sauce that would definitely have gone in Unfortunately it doesn't last long in my house...
