Finished building Erik's Captains bed & set up his satellite installation. Next comes the space theme. Sounds like he wants an NCC-74656 Voyager theme & mural.

We've applied for seed funding through Telefilm Canada's Great Canadian Video Game competition: link.

We'll know on January 15th if we've been selected to round one of the competiton.

If not, we'll have to scale back our plans and work on games in the "Casual" sector until we get some revenue generated.

I hope to be able to transition my business to full time video game development over approx 2 years. If we get accepted to the contest it will be even sooner.

For the first time in a long time, I'm happy.
if you can make a halfway decent RPG then id be happy.

Our game entry for the contest isn't an RPG, sorry. I'd love to tell you what it is but I want to wait until the official annoucement of whether we were accepted to the contest. I'd love to make a terrific RPG one day so you never know...

Actually, the game, if we get to make it, will definitly be targetted internationally, which means it will need to have content translated to many languages. Our plan is to start with English and French. Telefilm has extra incentives for games that have a French translation and the wife of one of my partners is bilingual so she's officially signed on to do that work.

As we develop games (both the one for the contest and smaller scale "Casual" games) I'd love to be able to use Murcers for beta testing so I'll keep everyone informed of any news and progress.
            P.S. You've been Spanked!

@Schmo - sign me up for a 'queen's english' conversion

@Dave - you have humbled me. Here I am going through a bit of a low patch, forgetting just how much I have to be grateful for. Thank you for reminding me.

              @MMM - hey, that's my line

@All - great to hear all this stuff. Keep it coming.

I get to see and hear great stuff everyday, from my kids!

And the greatest joker from them all is my 13 months old Matthew!

I wish I could remember it all for the rest of my life….. .

The good news is that it rained today, after 2 months of drought (in winter!!!!)

The other side of the medal is that it rained only 15 mm, when we really need at least 500 mm to fill the reservoirs: theauthorities are contemplating water rationing - again. Last time, we had 1 hour of town water 3 times/week and that was insufficient to fill our tanks.

That's dangerous territory... unless of course the dates are at the same time and the two girls are good friends
