Sure as heck looks like her.

The story sez her dad was an engineer who "once worked for Jacobs" is past tense, but the later statement of "Her dad's a mortician" is in the present tense. Career changes aren't unusual and you don't have to give up one cert to use another, and there's a lot of $$ in being a mortician.
