I haven't done one in while, so here's the collection:

No MTM is complete without the 300 trailer. Trailer 2 is out in HD, and the movie has been pushed back to 6 March 07 for release. Hopefully for spit and polish to make it one of the best action movies ever, because we know it's not going to be very historically accurate.

Mark "I don't need no stinkn' Funky Bunch" Wahlberg is staring in a new sniper action flick called Shooter. Looks like they modernized the JFK/Oswald conspiracies and turned them into an action movie. Looks fairly promising.

Hot Fuzz looks like a riot. It may already be out in the UK, but in the US it will be a British action comedy cop thriller. Looks very promising.

Live Free or Die Hard is you guessed it, the next and hopefully last Die Hard movie. Is it just me or is the guy in the car with Bruce in the end of the trailer the Mac guy in the Get a Mac ad commercials?

There are about a bazillion comedies coming out this year. Will Ferrel has teamed up with Jon Heder (Napoleon in Napoleon Dynamite...gosh) in a figure skating movie called Blades of Glory. Yes, a figure skating comedy where Will and Jon are the first ever male "couple" skating team because they have been kicked out of the male singles competition. Yeah ...

Fred Claus is Vince Vaughns next comedy, where he plays Santa Claus' older brother. Hm...looks like it might not suck.

Back to actiony things, we have The Lookout which appears to be a cross between Momento and a robbery flick. Interesting concept.

The Last Mimzy looks like it will be an interesting SciFi/Fantasy thriller. More kid oriented, maybe, but interesting.

This one looks very interesting. The Astronaut Farmer about an ex-NASA employee who decides to build a rocket and go into space all on his own. Billy Bob Thorton does the lead in this speculative SciFi flick.

VLC (http://videolan.org/vlc) might do the trick. Can't remember if it requires QT to be installed though.

That Wahlberg movie, Shooter, had me thinking of about a dozen other movies. First thought at the very beginning was Commando...

I use VLC and I must say I am very happy with it (plays broken vids also)

One of the selling points of VLC is that it has all of its codecs statically compiled in with it. It will either play a video or not, regardless of what else you have installed.

The Reaping has a trailer 2. This is a show that would get Pen & Teller's panties in a bunch. Hillary Swank plays the daughter of Christian missionaries who are murders now gone atheist and goes around disproving religious phenomena but runs into one she can't explain. Namely the 7 plagues of Egypt in a small Louisiana Make sense?

This one looks like it will make every parent in the world three times as paranoid about protecting their daughters. Called, Trade, about a brother trying to rescue his 13-year old sister from the sex slave trafficking market. Kalvin Kline makes a noteable appearance as a Texas cop who lost his daughter to the sex trade.
