        Good Job

Just curious, how common is it to smoke in Japan?

No smoking signs are decorations only with no meaning.

there are street tobaco vending machines.
          bullet trains have smoking cars.

Colorado passed a no smoking ban in public restaraunts and bars unless a certain percentage of the sales is tobacco products. kinda sucks as the only times I smoke are when I'm drunk (not drinking, drunk). Or in Iraq. either way.

It's pretty well illegal here to smoke in any indoor public place.

I think the only legal place here is inside of a Casino or such that is Native American run. Might be a few other places, but I can't think of what they might be.

I must have been an angel with 1 pack a day.

Those Japanese guys could smoke you to death. I remember one night in Vegas casino, sitting next to Japanese guy playing Black Jack.
I was betting $5~10, he was betting $100~200!

But the scariest thing was when we did light up cigarettes at the same time. When I was lifting mine up for the second drag, he was squashing the butt in the ashtray, he was DONE!

Surely looks like 3 packs a day is like a standard for a smoker over there, isn’t it?
