As a side, I have succesfully used a single key to open 3 other locks where the owner had locked his key inside the vehicle.
And my key looked nothing like the others

If it does, I'm sure it's specific to certain models.

I'll try that on my BMW, though I would think the computer would be smart enough to set the alarm off.
            Worth the try anyway

              Don't try it today,

                  "Blondie"?

I know this used to work on the first central locking systems; didn't think it'd still work.

I laugh because it is so true! Today isn't a good day for tennis balls.

Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey?

My dad's Audi A4 had its radio nicked after the lock was popped with half a tennis ball. It was about 10 years ago so I'd like to think they've fixed the problem by now.

Yesterday we registered wind chills of -25F to -30F (-31.7C to -34.5C); cold enough to close Margie's school district for 2 days (so far) because of the cold only. This is a district that has previously closed for the weather just 3 times in the last 5 years. Virtually all other districts; public, private and charter, did the same.

I went out last night to get milk etc. and the cold was biting right through my gloves etc.

Today is warming up, we had +8F (-13C) ..... .

At least you had no fear of your frozen pizza thawing before you goit it home!

Damn cold here this morning when I walked the dog: only 7°C (Normal for 0900 about 12°C)
