    Shitty luck I guess.

    But if it happened in Montreal, then I would be surprised. My buddy got his Taurus stolen a month back to find it parked in the same spot two weeks later!

      It wasn't just the cars.

      We got the impression that speaking English was illegal or at least immoral, even to each other. Even when we tried to use our admittedly limited French skills we still got dirty looks. Finally we left a week early and spent our remaining week in Toronto where we had a great time.

      The only place we've been treated worse in our travels was Paris and its surrounds.

      Germany; fine
      Sweden; great
      Norway; great
      UK; great
      Spain; great
      Italy; fine
      Jamaica; great
      Mexico; great
      Vancouver, Toronto, Nova Scotia & the Maritimes; great

      Paris & Montreal;

        When I hear those types of stories (which I often hear unfortunetely) I feel ashamed to be Canadian/Quebecer. A lot of people here adopt the "if you come here then learn the language or go back to your own country" mentality which, to me is absurd because the very same people, when THEY travel, they don't bother learing one word of the language they are visiting.
