  • On Line Fraud and Identity Theft PT3

As you know I've been a victicn of identify theft twice in six weeks. Now on the third card.
I've now registered for insurance against such theft and should be able to check my credit ratings to see if someones been poking around shortly.

Interestingly a work collegue also has had the same done to him. Again thats twice it's happened to him.

Theres two places where we have shopped and thats Overclockers.co.uk and Amazon.co.uk. Both sites record your credit card details. Makes you wonder slightly.

Anyway if you shred all you bills and keep yopur card on you at all times it's not always enough. I wonder what else I can do.

Secure your computer. Use a secure browser. Don't save passwords etc.
There's an Opera in my macbook.

I already do. Machine is clean as a whistle. Everything with confidental details on is shredded and has been for a year. I reckon the problem is probably at the suppliers end.

Finally got the correct information through so I could do an online credit report. Two companies made unauthorised searches. One of which I haven't had anything to do with.

Ouch not a good idea. They're having a lot of problems lately according to hsbc.
