  • Drunk Driver

A drunk driver not me honest managed to drive into my next door neighbours car soon after he parked it.

Since he's a taxi driver he's now out of work as he can't transfer the plates across.

Took some photo's of the damage for him so he can post it too his insurance company.

The lady tried to drive off (Silver car) despite having one her wheels at 45 degrees. She pleaded to him not to call the police which he did and amazingly they turned up.

hmm, that first line makes it sound like you're the culprit...

Can't rely on the subject carrying down into the first sentence, Pit

"She pleaded to him not to call the police"

What so that he's out of work for a while and she gives him her gratitude

BTW, how drunk driving is treated (law-wise) in UK?

            Oops corrected it.

She should get a ban and big fine plus points. A ban will come into force unless she can proof that it will cost her job. If thats the case she would in theory have to attend some therapy sessions.

The fact that she tried to drive away won't help her at all.

It'll be interesting whether she's covered by car insurance since she was drunk at the time and tested positive.

A friend of mine nearly went to Jail and he didn't hit anything just got caught trying to move his car becuase he was asked to move it. They tend to try and jump on you here. Another friend got done becuase he decided to sleep in his car to protect since he couldn't drive it home. No ban but points and a fine. AS soon as you put your key in the lock and you ain't on private property they can do you big style.

Well she wouldn't know that at time would she. She'd just think that it's a normal car she's trashed not a Taxi. More likely or not she was thinking of her own trouble not anything else. It's going to cost her a lot of money anyway.
