As long as you get over Starbuck being a girl, yes. But if you have never seen the original BSG, then no worries. The action, and many would argue the story, sags in places to develop charaters and subplots, but overall it is an excellent series. The best SciFi series made IMHO. Even better than Firefly. Though some may call them fight'n words.
The mini-series and first season grab you and pull you in. The second season suffers from sophomore blues, but redeems itself in the end. I haven't finished the third season, life has been keeping me busy, but from what I've seen it's better than the second, but not quite as good as the first.
Translation ... if you like SciFi Space Opera's, you'll love BSG.“Inside every sane person there’s a madman struggling to get outâ€

I think that's an example of artistic license. They wanted to convey a certain something with that scene and didn't let physics get too far in the way.
The end of the episode was like most Monty Python movies/skits - best watched under the influence
As far as red herrings go, I think you might be right. There's definitely something going on with those four (five if you count you know who), but I'm not convinced it's what they think it is.“And, remember: there's no 'I' in 'irony'†~ Merlin Mann

After the past couple episodes, the Season finallie restored my faith in the show. I just wonder if they are going to wrap it up next year since the ratings have been in the crapper, compared to the other 2 seasons. Even though it is Sci-Fi's best rated show behind ECW or whatever wrestling thing they got onWhy is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

I wouldn't be surprised if next season is the last. Part of it is the ratings, but there's also the prequel series of sorts, "Caprica", which is set to start April of 2008.
Truth be told, as much as I love the show, I'd rather it end sooner rather than later. Otherwise it's just going to drag on and lose any momentum it has left.“And, remember: there's no 'I' in 'irony'†~ Merlin Mann
