It's a great car.
If only it had come with the 2JZ-GTE instead of the 2JZ-GE engine.

I'm sure the engine will never wear out.
But what's the point of having an engine that can take 1000bhp on stock internals and then leaving the turbos off?

I paid $12,000 for it in 2000 (80,000 miles ago). What a deal.

Well the GTE would have been standard if they had sold it just the way they did as the Toyota Aristo in Japan.

But a guy can dream can't he?
Or spend $6,000 putting a turbo on a $12,000 car

PS You can still find them, and the later (up to 97) just got better and better each year.
Heck, you can get one now for $5,000 and since the damned things never wear out all it would need are some cosmetic fixes.
