Justice League of America (2010)

There has been a persistent rumor in the industry, recently confirmed on IMDB, that a Justice League movie is in the works for 2010. IMDB is very reliable on such things. Can't post the IMDbPro content.

Versions differ if the cast will be from Smallville's "Justice" episode (great if you haven't seen it) or a mixing of the new Superman/Batman movies plus newbies in the roles of the other heroes. Consensus is the latter.

Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter at least.

An animated Justice League film is also coming in 2008.

As much as I love Smallville, I don't think the respective actors in the series would be able to pull-off a proper movie. That said, I'd be willing to bet that near or at the closing of the series, we'll be seeing that Justice League out in full force.

So yeah, one featuring the current big-screen Superman and Batman is far more likely.
