Love the monkey.
We'd have some roads like that here now. After the flood waters receded that is, but more due to almost any recent roadwork being washed away and some nice sink-holes opening up.
Of course, that sort of thing on a bridge...
Know exactly what you mean about roadtrips and how expensive they can get. Probably the biggest reason we're not making our usual to Florida and then up to Delaware - can't afford hotels and gas.“And, remember: there's no 'I' in 'irony'†~ Merlin Mann

lol yea i think it was the money situation. it took a long time to get there as we traveled down Buck and Doe rd at 10 mph for 3 hours. then we had to pay $50 a person to see the grand canyon, then they asked for $25 to go on the skywalk. i was thinking it was a bit of a ripoff at the time since i paid for a national park pass and couldnt use it because the west bit is now indian land.
but yes i did go to the top of the sears tower, and the stratospere, and the eiffel tower las vegas, and royal gourge bridge and the list goes on with this trip

they said last year before the indians owned the land you could walk right up to it. Now you have to park your car in a certain area, go buy a ticket, and get on a bus to take you to the grand canyon.
I absolutely didnt want to do it, but our car ride there was on a dirt road through the mountains over a couple of hours at 10 mph, so we kinda were so exhausted we had to see it.
