Just saw the movie, and it was enjoyable. I do agree on the hard to follow robot-combat scenes.

There was much more humour than I expected there would be (but the clumsy gardenscene was pushing it).

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but how did Bumblebee know who the kid is (when the kid was buying the car)? It was obvious that the car chose the kid, but the decepticons hadn't even hacked into the military network?

The kid has a pair of glasses for sale online that shows Transformer glyphs engraved in the lenses & the autobots saw the page. They also knew his grandfathers name.

Yellowbook.com and a reverse phonebook site does the rest.

Ok... The Decepticons discovered all this by hacking into the military network (with the sector 7 stuff, etc...). How did the Autobots discovered all this; Optimus Prime tells this to the kid, but it is never mentioned where he got this initial information.

Why did they not buy the glasses off ebay? No one bid on them.

If that information is available on the internet, why did th Decepticons had to hack into the militairy network to find it?

                  Jörg

They saw the glasses on Ebay with the symbols on them, did some research on his Great Grandfather and came up with nothing, so they had to do some hacking to find more info
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

                    Bwoa... still not convinced...
But given the lenght of the movie, they could have made a bit more introduction and shortenend the final action sequence (it took too long IMO)...
