Kent has been kicking around for a long time.
      We went to school together

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Yeah well, when the recruiter calls you to say, "Spoke with Damian today and he was praising you to the high heavens..."

Ah there I go exaggerating again...

Thanks Kent. The wife is determined to find a place in Edmond because the schools are supposed to be a lot better than in the rest of OKC and surrounding area. I was looking a little in the Warr Acres-Bethany area as it's right there by where I'm going to be working. We've got (well, she has) quite a few friends scattered about in the area, so we're getting lots of 'advice'.

If I can think anything though, I'll prod you.

Thanks everyone else. Going to be different working in an office again where I can't wander around in my boxers.

Not so sure about that nowadays.
On the other hand ChooChoo is in private school.

No ChooChoo there, the nuns expect Lucinda to show up.

Hey you could try the boxers thing on casual Friday.
              At least once.

                Hrm... job or cool breeze...

Well, Melody is 10, Dillan is 8, and Jillian is now just over 2. The biggest thing with school is getting Mel into one that has a good program for special needs. We finally had her mostly mainstreamed this past school year after years of fighting the school and school board here.

We'll probably be down next week sometime. I don't actually start until the 30th (Monday after next), so for one week I am 'unemployed'.

We've sort of decided to just find a decent rental house for a year, so we can get moved down in time for the kids to start school, and so I can get some time in at the new job. Hate renting, but another year of it won't be too bad. So, we'll be looking at some places we found next week.

Good news, we found a nice place to rent in north Edmond (town just north of OKC) about 20 minutes from where I'll be working. I'll likely be signing papers on Monday after work, then we'll be packing during the week with the move planned for either Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Bad... well, unfortunate news was Trina's great grand-father passed away on Wednesday, so we had to make a trip down to Texas for the funeral. He was 93 (oddly younger than my grandparents) and had a nice long life, so really not bad news as such. In fact, it was actually fortunate that he passed when he did, as they found cancer cells in his system.

So it we've had a hectic week(end) leading up to my first day at a work tomorrow.

                                *phew*
