Do you not find it unsettling that perhaps 7 in 10 people you meet, whether on the street, in stores, or driving may be carrying a loaded weapon?
Another way to phrase the question is "Would you trust 7 out of ten people THAT YOU KNOW PERSONALLY to carry a concealed firearm in public?"

Personally, my answer would be a provisional Yes. Most of the folks I know (as I'm sure is the case with most people here) are mature, responsible, intelligent, level-headed folks. I'm confident that they would take the responsibility of packing heat VERY seriously, especially since the principles of responsible gun handling were drilled into them from a very young age.

That doesn't mean I don't know a few people who have no business whatsoever owning a gun. Fortunately they're a small minority and so far have posed a danger only to themselves.

What about 7 out of 10 people that you don't know?

      Thanks Doc, for the explanation.
