Certainly the news article doesn't do them any favours. One of the more disgraceful actions was of a Police officer putting a siren and lights on just to go to the take away. The local press go hold of it forcing the chief constable to take action aginst the officer otherwise he was getting of.

with both my brother and my wifes uncle being a cop, I hear too many stories of such.. and they seem proud of it too, like it is justified. Since my brother got his badge, he has been pulled over numerous times for speeding, and let off scott free every time.
