  • spam, or should I read more into this?

    Hello,

Just recently I discovered 2 suspicious messages on my hotmail account (I never use it, so I just came across them). They appear to come from a former girlfriend (who relatively abruptly stopped seeing me) I hadn't heard of in almost a year. The messages looks like this:
U heeft een GRATIS Realtone van XXX ontvangen!‏
    Van: realtone(AT)wisehosted03.nl namens XXX (XXX(AT)hotmail.com)
    Verzonden: woensdag 17 oktober 2007 16:48:11
    Beantwoorden aan: XXX (XXX(AT)hotmail.com)
    Aan: ME(AT)hotmail.com
    Beste ME,

(I have replaced all occurances of her msn username with XXX, mine with ME and all the @ with (AT), first line is the subject, in bold are from:, sent:, reply-to: and to: )

Message reads that I received a 100% FREE REALTONE, and presents the link.

Is this SPAM? Or should I read more into this?

Does the fact that the two ringtones are "Tired of being sorry" and "Gimme more" change this opinion?
    (it just feels so odd)

Think it's spam VJ, delete is my opinion.

Or you can create a folder and put them in and see how many you get first before making the call.

True... but I'm not good at taking hints from girls...

Now that I seem to take a hint, there isn't one...
(guess this confirms my prior statement )

(most likely, I won't see the next blatant obvious hint, and be - pleasantly - suprised if I don't just get a cup of coffee )

I would guess a spambot got on her system and used her contact list to send the spam out. The duplicate email is a good indication it is spam.
