    Oronce Finé, French mathematician, was born, He refined the precision to which the constant pi was known to 3+11/78.

    Correct to 0.018%. Not bad, considering that integral calculus was not invented, not even Simpson's rule.

          Hardly: I have seen ancient Egyptian porn c. 2500 BC, including homosexual paedophilia, as well as hetero adult porn. Photos taken today of the same acts would get you at least 10 years. Not to mention the kamashastram, of which the Kama Sutra is an extract compiled and updated 200 years later, dates from over 2000 years ago. It includes many other things than "normal" sex, including bestiality.

                Weren't the Mayan and Egyptian civilizations using PI for construction back then? They were advanced in math, their designs are proof of that.

                You can kill a raptor with a shot gun to the head, try that with a T-Rex

                  I could kill a T-Rex with a shotgun, no problem.

                  Just use a 12 ga FRAG-12 HE armor piercing round;

                          The Mayan and Egyptian civilizations were using construction methods dictated to them by their Go'auld masters - who had of course sussed out the value of Pi many millennia before!
