    The funny thing is, Utwig, I see a lot of things in your posts explaning inflation without needing the euro. So what price increases, to your mind, are due to the euro which can not be explained otherwise?

      The prices of many basic products went up in many countries (including Greece) very shortly after they adopted the euro. This can't be just a coincidence.

      Maybe it's related to the strength of the currency the country had before the euro

        I am not debating that neccesarily. What are "basic products" you refer to?
